About the author
Devidasa Kawal is a children's author, a reading and writing specialist and a lifelong learner. She earned her reading and writing specialist credential at Teachers College, Columbia University, and studied at the Publishing Institute at Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York City. She fell in love with writing while teaching reading and writing at Midtown West School, a New York City public school run in partnership with Bank Street College of Education and the Department of Education. That unique classroom, along with her later work in a Montessori setting, inspired her to write stories that help children discover the joy of reading. She lives in Tampa Bay and New York City.
